** You can start this role remotely. This forward-thinking studio has made the decision that they will continue to hire for their critical roles and start you remotely. Once the Pandemic has ended you will be required to relocate and work onsite at the Studio.
The candidate must feel comfortable working in a multidisciplinary team, who they will be working with to create astounding, beautiful open worlds. They will be expected to help drive the quality benchmark for the discipline whilst managing their time to match the project’s goals. As an Environment Artist you will collaborate in an interdisciplinary team to create art for our world and all of its components. We expect you to take your assets all the way from conceptual mock-ups through modelling, texturing and making the assets performant in game.
Requirements:
🎨Experience with rule based environment, vegetation and terrain material distribution
🎨Experience with physically-based rendering
🎨A strong reel/portfolio with clearly-documented artistic accomplishments
🎨A great sense of technical know-how and functional problem-solving
🎨Excellent modelling and texturing skills using Autodesk Maya and Adobe Photoshop
🎨Passion for making and playing games
🎨3+ years of industry experience and with at least one open-world game shipped (or equivalent)
🎨Experience with Allegorithmic Substance Designer
🎨Experience with Speedtree
🎨Ability to communicate and realize an artistic vision
