** You can start this job remotely. This forward-thinking studio has made the decision that given the current situation they will continue to hire for their critical roles and start you remotely. Your interview process will be done virtually and you will commence your new job role remotely working from home. Once the Pandemic has ended and it is safe to do so you will relocate to work onsite at their studio.
Responsibilities:
✅Owning and maintaining animation state machines
✅Driving animation state machine tools and pipeline improvements
✅Driving animation pipelines, and regularly improving upon them
✅Working in collaboration with animators, designers and programmers to implement realisation of player mechanics and npc characters
✅Communicate effectively with content teams to identify workflow issues, spec out the plan to solve them, and then drive that plan to completion ready to be shipped.
✅Use your technical expertise to find creative solutions to challenging problems
Requirements:
✅Python scripting and/or C++ programming experience
✅Knowledge of Autodesk animation software (Maya/Motionbuilder)
✅Strong understanding of character mechanics and animation pipelines/workflows
✅Clear and open communication skills
✅Excellent problem solving skills
✅Desire to work as part of a team; taking feedback and direction appropriately, and the motivation to work independently
