WHY ME?
I genuinely care about both my clients and my candidates. Did I cry tears of joy when I placed a candidate I have known for 10 years with one of my clients who I have also known for 10 years? You bet I did! Why? Because my candidate cut his stressful long 2 and half hour commute to work down to just 20 minutes allowing him to spend more quality time with his wife and three children. He also had been underpaid for years and I managed to secure him a £15,000 increase in his salary! Because I knew both my Hiring Manager and my candidate so well, I knew that they were a perfect match for each other. You see it's not just about matching skills from a job description to a CV, it's about really knowing your people, and this is why I excel at what I do.
MY KNOWLEDGE
When I started out in Games in 2008 job roles like User Acquisition and Game Data Scientist didn't exist. Social Media was just starting to take shape but was still a long way off what we know today.
The first generation iPhone was released in 2007 so Games Testers for Mobile were like...what's that?

All of this change means that the Marketing and Analytics sectors have changed beyond recognition. This is where my expert knowledge comes in to play. I know from experience that not many people understand the sectors that I specialise in. Actually, this is the main reason I have started Arthur Games Talent. There are no jobs for me out there. I am too specialised and too niche. I know from experience that this sector is only going to grow. So I decided to create my own job and provide a much needed specialised service.

I am also an experienced Recruiter for Art roles within the Games industry. I started filling Art Roles in 2014 when I was supporting the Art Consultant at the agency I worked. I am completely fascinated by Art and I am in complete awe of the work that these talented people create.

That's the answer to Why Me?

TRIBUTE TO MY DAD
Meet Arthur
As you can see from the photo I think I managed to get my Avatar Dad spot on!

My Dad was born Arthur Leonard Hibble, born 16th September 1931. We lovingly called him Half A Lemon (I have called my Handmade Personalised Products sideline business Half A Lemon). My Dad was a kind, loyal and caring man. He always put others needs above his own. He was my World, my advisor, my confident, my rock and my inspiration.

My Dad sadly passed away on 3rd March 2018, he was 86 years old. In January 2018 I made the decision to resign from my video games marketing recruitment position so that I could spend some quality time with my Dad and care for him. I wanted to give him all the love, care and attention that he gave me for all of my life. The role I was in at the time didn't allow for the flexibility and time that I needed to do this, so leaving was the right thing to do. I loved my job and the company that I worked for and I still highly recommend them, but now is a new chapter in my life.

Dad, I hereby name my new venture, my new chapter in your name. I hope I make you proud. I miss you. x
